Leslie Knope glass votive altar candle from Flaming Idols. Whether you're a recovering Catholic, a secular Jew, a satanist, a pagan, a witch – or some combination! - this altar candle will fill your queer spiritual needs.

Leslie Knope is a fictional character played by Amy Poehler on the show Parks & Recreation who identifies herself as Queen of the Gays! She fights back against right-wing antagonists who try to stop her from holding a gay wedding for the zoo penguins or providing comprehensive sex ed to seniors. Maybe the queerest thing about Leslie is her devotion to her chosen family, and especially her best friend Ann. This lady gets things done and is there for her friends no matter what.

You might light this candle and look to Leslie for inspiration and guidance in: executing a major project, being a supportive friend, getting pregnant, chutzpah to stay motivated working within the system

You might light this candle and look to the Girls for inspiration and guidance in: Cultivating a positive collective living situation, accepting peoples' difference, rocking shoulder pads, being a supportive friend!

Candle is hand-poured with soy wax and burns for approximately 10 hours. Glass votives are 2.5in high and 2in wide at the base. Each votive is affixed with an opaque sticker with an image of a person and on the opposite side, a translucent sticker with biographical information about the person. Stickers are water-resistant.
